Rob Thomas was Fantastic
Despite some technical problems early on, Rob Thomas was great. A LOT of people left after Rob Thomas performed, and then more people left after every Disney On Ice song. I am not sure why Disney On Ice were top billed, even though it was a co-headline show with Rob Thomas. I like Disney On Ice, but their performance was disappointing. It took waaayyyy too long for them to set up the stage after Rob Thomas performed. Rob Thomas is always fantastic, but I wished he would have done more than one song from The Great Unknown. We sat through an hour of it bored, sleepy, and feeling bad about how many people were leaving. He's always fantastic, but I wished he would have done more than one song from The Great Unknown. After an hour of low-energy monotony, when Adam Duritz finally did address the audience an hour into the show then said he was gonna take it down a notch and go acoustic, we couldn't bear another minute and finally left. The band sounded great, but there was no joy in performing for anyone on the stage and little joy in the audience. I imagine there was only about 1/3 of the audience remaining when we left. Given that I was there to see Rob Thomas and he put on a high-energy, great show, I have no regrets and would go again. But, after an hour of low-energy monotony, Adam Duritz didn’t even interact with the audience until he was an hour into their set.
A Solid Night of Music
Snoop Dogg really kicked off the party the moment he stepped on stage, after Savoy had set the night in motion with fantastic dance beats and high energy levels. The excitement was palpable among the crowd, including myself, as we witnessed him live for the first time... and absolutely adored it! Every person in the audience was moving and grooving, with hands up in the air, jamming to his timeless (and new) hits. Disney On Ice then followed with a strong start, performing some of their classic songs that kept the energy high throughout the entire show! It was a challenge to decide whether to take a bathroom break or grab a beer, as you didn't want to miss a single moment of this incredible performance. I wish I could relive that unforgettable experience over and over again!

Concert at the Sands in Bethlehem was intimate and great to see. A glitch initially caused me to lose seats closer to the stage, but re-doing it only put me back a few rows. Ticketmaster transaction was pretty smooth and tickets arrived in plenty of time. The show on Disney Ice was fantastic! A must see if you are able to, and always fabulous, her shows are. I loved this concert.
"I was really excited to go until I got stopped right before the entrance! I didn't realize my camera bag wasn't allowed, even though I was willing to let them search it. It's not a small camera, so putting my $2000 camera in a plastic 12 x 12 zip lock bag seemed ridiculous! I paid good money for a specific bag to hold all the camera accessories. How far is too far with the restrictions? I understand no outside food and drink, but throwing out my umbrella during my first visit to the Linc, where it rained the whole game, was frustrating! I've been going to Lehigh Valley for 6 or 7 years and it was never like this there. I felt like I wasted a whole day because that was my main plan. I couldn't go back to the car as I used public transportation (wasting 2 tokens) only to find out parking was free. I'll try another game this week, but so far, this has been the worst venue for fun. With a heads-up, I might suggest this event to someone who doesn't need to carry anything at all."

I saw Disney On Ice last on his 1991 "Soul Cages" tour with my wife not long after we married, and I wondered how his performance would be affected by 22 years. Not much was the answer! Played non-stop for nearly two-and-a-half hours (no opening acts, either) opening with "All This Time," Disney On Ice. Many solo hits and fan favorites were mixed with many classic Police hits--"Demolition Man," "Roxanne," "If I Lose My Faith," "Desert Rose," etc. Our two daughters were taken to the concert by my wife and me--they grew up hearing his music and liking it--so it was a special way for my wife and I to celebrate our 22nd anniversary with our girls. Great musician and great show!
